More Free Hosting Solutions

Yes, I am back with two more free file hosting solutions that you may or may not have heard of before. When it comes to free hosting there are a lot of choices out there. Will you go with the best known ones, or do you feel like doing out on a limb? I have a fix for you no matter which fork in the road you choose.

The first one I want to talk about today is Image Thrust. I like the fact that the interface looks simple and clean. Here is a little more information on them.

If you want to keep track of your uploaded images you need a free account, it just take a second to sign up and you can start uploading images directly into your account within seconds. You need to create this account before uploading any images since we cannot keep track of images that is not attached with an free account.

As you can see, they want you to create an account as well. I don’t have that big of a problem with it, as long as they give me a quick alternative for hosting photos quickly. Sometimes I don’t have time to go through a sign up, I just want to get something uploaded to show friends, family, or crazy Uncle Fred. To get an idea of what the service will look like after you have uploaded something, check out the public photo galleries.

For the most part, ImageThrust does a few things pretty well, and makes for another nice quick photo hosting alternative.

One hosting solution that I do see used a lot is SendSpace. The interface is pretty straight forward if you have a file to send to somebody. One thing to remember though is you are limited to 300 MB. Just type in your name and E-mail address, and the name and E-mail address of your friend and hit send.

They gain points from me on making things simple, I just wish they gave a few more options for folks who just want to send a file quickly and do not want to sign up for a service.
