Scrollbar For Your Tabs

  • No Related Post

I like the idea of having so many tabs open they start to stack up. While I am writing here, I always have multiple things going on at the same time. Now when it comes to switching between twenty or so tabs, you start to find using the default methods of navigating through them aggravating. If you find yourself in this type of pickle, then you need the Tab Overflow Scrollbar extension.

Here is what the extension’s author had to say about it:

Adds a horizontal scrollbar below the tab bar when Firefox 2 is in tab overflow mode (more than 10 tabs open) for easier tab navigation. Also gives a vertical scrollbar to the alltabs dropdown menu, when it is required.

Now the only bad side to this extension is that the scrollbar you add to your tabs menu is a little ugly. Hopefully once they get a few versions of this extension out the door - this will change.

This extension is for versions 2.0 and up of the browser. To download it and try it out yourself, just take a stroll over to the Mozilla Add-ons Web site and pick it up.
