When you do as much online writing as I do, or if you find yourself with one or more blog to have to take care of, you want to make sure everybody knows when you updated last. Now, sure an RSS feed plays a big part in this. Another big part is when you ping back some of these other blogging engines out there. One good tool to hit a lot of them is the Submit’em Now Firefox extension.

Now why was this extension built for Firefox? Well I can’t get into the developer’s head but I belive it was because there are so many directories out there to ping back to and not a good enough way to get the job done.

So how many blogging services and directories does Submit’em Now ping back to? There is a list of over a hundred different ones you can notify when you update. Don’t belive me?
