Pickup Photo Uploader

Now don’t get me wrong, a lot of the photo sharing Web sites out there give you a lot of options when it comes to putting content on the Web site. My problem is that I do not really like any of the choices I have so far. So what is a guy to do? I just found the Pickup Photo Uploader the other day, and it has solved my photo uploading problems.

What is this extension all about?

Pickup is an extension for uploading pictures to photo service sites. Many such tools exist for photo sites, but Pickup aims to go further by supporting multiple services and providing functionality cross-platform on Windows, Mac and Linux. Mozilla Firefox is the ideal choice for supporting this.

Some of the features include: Switch between different online photo services; Multiple picture upload; Drag and Drop from your system file manager; Tag pictures, individually or in batches; Set picture privacy, individually or in batches; Add photos to an album (where supported by the service); Titles and descriptions for individual pictures, or in batches; Display of space quota used and much more.

This extension for Firefox really does come in handy if you share photos on a number of these photo sharing Web sites. All you really need to know is drag and drop, and the rest just works. I really enjoy it when something just works for me, it makes me feel all nice, warm and fuzzy inside.

This Firefox extension is for versions 1.5 and up of the browser. To pick up your copy all you need to do is download it via the Mozilla Add-ons Web site.
