CrossFTP

There is no secret about it, there are a lot of different FTP clients out there on the market. Which one is the best? That is almost like asking somebody what is their favorite flavor of ice cream. Everybody has a favorite for different reasons. Well I have another flavor to toss into the mix, and I promise it is anything but vanilla.

This plugin contains two FTP tools: CrossFTP Client and Server based on the Java Web Start technology. To start it, choose [Tools] [CrossFTP], and open the jnlp link by Java Web Start (javaws).

CrossFTP Client is a free, versatile GUI FTP client for multiple platforms. As a stable and international FTP client, it provides full functions for general FTP tasks for free. It uses a familiar, Explorer-like interface that even the most novice user can master in minutes. The Pro version is also available by a license fee, which further features multi-thread and secure file transfers.

CrossFTP Server is a free, open-source professional FTP Server for multiple platforms. It offers you a high-performance, extremely configurable, and most of all a secure enabled FTP server.

This Firefox extension is for versions 1.0 and up of the browser. To pick up your copy all you need to do is download it via the Mozilla Add-ons Web site.
