Sidebar Icons

Navigating through our browser should be a customizable and enjoyable process. The last time I tried to use the Opera browser, I got lost in less than five minutes. Thankfully for Mozilla fans, Firefox gives you more room to customize than anybody else out there. One example of this at work is the Sidebar Icons extension.
So what is this extension all about? Well, as you would guess from the name, it adds icons to your sidebar. While viewing your bookmarks sidebar, it will show tiny icons on top to navigate to other options.
You can click on the bookmark icon to go to bookmarks. You can click on the clock to check out your browser’s history. You can even open up your recent downloads here as well. The last icon (with the little red X) allows you to close the sidebar.
I would think of this extension as possibly a lighter version of the All-in-One Sidebar extension. So if you have tried it out, and thought you needed something that didn’t feel as bulky, the Sidebar Icons extension might be the way to go.
This Firefox extension is for versions 1.5 and up of the browser. To pick up your copy all you need to do is download it via the Mozilla Add-ons Web site.

Dear friends-
I had viewed 15 sites & deleted only one-one that said my computer- from the “today”s history.this was because I had a zip drive that had a file I had to view and I guess it was in the My computer folder or it accessed it from there.
after I went back to view today’s history again, the calendar icon didn’t drop down anything else-
like it was locked, or shall I say it deleted all of the history 14 other sites visited & that was internet related, ie- fox news, & others-
yet I clicked on the view icon to view sites visited in order “today” and they were there like if they were hidden.
Is there a way to restore the list ?
I think this was on a computer that has IE explorer icons. It has a calendar icon with the drop down icons showing internet explorer or for example msn colorful logo or fox news logo.
also why does it show a calendar when you go to your computer history check when you’re not on the net & a folder when you’re in firefox?
is there manual that gives more detail about this?
I ask because I was on someone else’s computer as a guest in their account & I hope I didn’t mess up their history sidebar.
They like to keep their list & I think I deleted it.(oops!) After the next day, I tried again, thinking that it might be reloaded at shutdown but the calendar didn’t drop down anything for the previous day. I had done it before but never lost a list. Did I click something that caused that? Or did the order in which I did these actions cause this?
Also- is there a way to print the sidebar history window?
I have done some research on sites for a research paper I would like to print a copy for quick reference in case I need to go back and find them, since I visited quite a few of them. Is there a way to print the sidebar history with the expanded icon list for any given day? I know in some computers you can print the desktop and what’s on it like some apple computers at my work, but does windows do the same? I know you can print the desktop, but can the sidebar list be printed, and if so how?
thanks for the reply
