Ghostfox

This is a Firefox extension review that might best be served for Halloween, but I’ll share it with you now because I don’t think I can wait that long before I let the cat out of the bag. Ghostfox shows up and disappears instantly, discreetly, blended with your application so the Web pages look like part of it and not like the Web at all.

Much of the inspiration for Ghostfox came from Ghostzilla. Here is what the developers of Ghostfox have to say:

So what is Ghostfox, then? Simply put, its a Firefox extension which enables Firefox to behave in much the same way as Ghostzilla. To understand it better, have a look at the screenshots of Ghostfox in action. Why use Ghostfox when there is Ghostzilla? Because as a browser Ghostzilla is not nearly as good as Firefox. And you will sorely miss your Firefox extensions. If thats not reason enough, heres one more. It’s just 32kb in size compared to Ghostzilla’s 9mb. And that obviously makes Ghostfox more preferable than Ghostzilla.

So if you have the urge to slip Firefox into places it isn’t supposed to be, this is the extension for you.

This Firefox extension is for versions 1.0 and up of the browser. To pick up your copy all you need to do is download it via the Mozilla Add-ons Web site.
