The ability to send something quickly to a friend of family member is something a lot of us need to have. In the time that it takes to open up or E-mail client, load the information in and send it, we might forget what got us so excited in the first place. That is where the E-mail This Firefox extension comes into play.
This extension has undergone a name change, opening itself up to other E-mail platforms. What else has changed? Here is what the developer had to say.
Email This! (formerly known as GMail This!) will send your recipient the link, title, & highlighted text of the page you are viewing using GMail, Yahoo, and Stand-Alone Mail Clients like Outlook Express, Thunderbird, and more!
The Gmail (or Yahoo) Compose-Message page will open in a new tab. The title of article/webpage you are viewing will go in the subject line of your email. The address/url will go in the body area of the email. The highlighted-text will appear below the address/url.
The stand-alone program (such as outlook or thunderbird) will open up the Compose-New-Message screen in a new system-window. The title of article/webpage you are viewing will go in the subject line of your email. The address/url will go in the body area of the email. The highlighted-text will appear below the address/url .
As you can see, this old dog has learn more than a few new tricks. Give it a shot, and if you know of anything better out there - let me know about it.
This Firefox extension is for versions 1.0 and up of the browser. To pick up your copy all you need to do is download it via the Mozilla Add-ons Web site.

Hi Mitch,
I want to mention another small email client just for sending quick short emails - MiniMail.
I found it on Softpedia.com, if I’m not mistaken. Download.com should have it too.
MiniMail is an independent client not connnected to any browser..
Since we’re talking about email, let me mention the best of all - PocoMail.
$35 well worth the price. It’s fireproofed against viruses and other garbage.
Another good one, and I really think it’s the best free email - Opera email.
Neat, light,slick, pleasure to use.
Plus Opera as a browser is The best. I used FireFox too, and still use, but Opera is the neatest, fastest and most pleasurable browser.
Regards,
Zal
