For those three people who might not know, Fark.com is a collection of interesting links from all over the Web. With something as old and popular as Fark, you would think somebody has written a Firefox extension to help you master your farking, right? That they have, and its name is Farky.

So what is Farky all about? Here is what the developer of the extension has to say.

Farky aids reading Fark.com by adding a number of tools. You can filter out headlines you don’t want to see, and you can tag headlines you’re interested in. You can easily see when there are new comments in a thread, and jump directly to them. Comments from people you like can he highlighted with a color you choose.

Think of it as a few more customizations and personalization for a very popular Web site.

In this newest 1.1.1 version, a few things have been fixed as well. They have fixed a problem that caused it to partially break on Firefox 1.5.0.4. (The fix makes it a bit slower, unfortunately. I’ll look into this for the next version) They lowered the number of saved threads to 10,000 to help slower systems. Also, Bon Echo builds are now supported.

This Firefox extension is for versions 1.5 and up of the browser. If you want to download it and try it out for yourself, you can do so at the Mozilla Update Web site.
