QuickZoom

It is safe to say that I have a pretty good set of eyes. I have never needed glasses and I can read even the smallest print. That doesn’t mean I want to though. When I find super tiny print on a Web site it is a real annoyance. Thankfully though, with the QuickZoom Firefox extension, now I have a quick and easy way of changing the font size.

Here is what the developer of the QuickZoom extension has to say about it:

Adds two buttons to the Firefox Status Bar that enable quick access to the “Enlarge Text Size” and “Reduce Text Size” commands. This extension avoids extra annoying icons on the Firefox navigation toolbar. In the windows in which the Firefox navigation toolbar is hidden, the QuickZoom icons are still visible.

There is no doubt that this is a very small and simple extension. It does however do its one simple and small job right. Figuring out how to change the font to a larger or smaller size is no longer an issue.

One good place to use this extension would be for terms of service and acceptable use policies that you find Online. Those documents are never sized well enough for normal eyes to see. With QuickZoom, you no longer have to pay attention to the small print. You can make the print whatever size you need it to be.

This Firefox extension is for versions 1.0 and up of the browser. If you want to download it and try it out for yourself, you can do so at the Mozilla Update Web site.
