If you spend a lot of your Online time reading blogs or news stories, it can sometimes become hard to track where you are in an article and where you are going. I remember in school we used to use highlighters to help us keep track of where we were reading. The Paragrasp Firefox extension takes that to a whole new level.
Here is what the author of the Paragrasp extension has to say about how it works.
Paragrasp is an absolute necessity for anyone who frequently reads blogs, articles, and news stories online. This Firefox extension adds a highlight to the paragraph you’re reading, and with a single keystroke, moves to the next, automatically scrolling the page for you. Features include key configuration, color customization, mouse hiding, and control over scrolling position.
Controls:
Ctrl+down to move down one paragraph
Ctrl+up to move up one paragraph
Highlight, right-click, “Paragrasp Here!” to choose where to start
Ctrl+Shift+C to clear the highlight
Ctrl+Shift+A to move with only arrows
This is really handy when you loose your attention while you are reading something and have a hard time finding your spot again. Right now I’m taking care of a baby duck, so I often have to get up from what I am doing to go give it some water to drink or some food to eat. Now I can sit down and automatically find where I last left off.
This Firefox extension is for versions .9 and up of the browser. If you want to download it and try it out for yourself, you can do so at the Mozilla Update Web site.
