OK, so AOL has finally had a drink from the Web video kool-aid and decide in kind to create a YouTube clone. Yes, this was mentioned once already in another section of the Website, but it is a big move for the ISP. So I felt that it needs to be addressed here as well.
About AOL UnCut Video
* It is free and unlimited video uploads.
* UnCut videos are played in Flash 8 format.
* Maximum video length is 5 minutes.
* Powered by VideoEgg, supported video formats are 3gp, 3gp2, avi, dv, mpg, mpg4, mov, mqv, and wmv.Brief review of AOL UnCut Video
The AOL UnCut video web page design is similar to YouTube. Anyone can submit comment but only AOL and AIM members can upload video.
The video is low quality, noticeable jagged edges during playback. AOL scarified video quality for playback speed(the playback speed is not fast, anyway…)?
The video player cannot adjust volume. The Play and Pause button can be combined into one button…. Source: LiewCF.com
