What is PageRank? PageRank aka PR is one of the methods Google uses to determine the relevance or importance of a Web page. PageRank is a vote, by all the other Web pages on the Internet, about how important a Web page is. A link to a Web page counts as a vote of support. If there are no incoming links to a Web page then there is no support.

When you run it on a Web page, PR Overlay scans a Web page for links, and then gives you a graphic next to the link telling you the PageRank. One Web page might have a four while another page only has a one. This comes in handy when you want to see what Web pages might need a little more exposure.

Back when I first started caring about PageRank on my Web pages, I would have to do this work by hand. I would have to navigate to each page and then look up the PageRank in the Google Toolbar. Now I can save myself a little time.
