Extension Manager Extended

Want to get a little more information about your extensions you have installed in Firefox? The Extension Manager Extended extension (that is a mouthful) gives you some of the geeky backend information about your extensions. The best part about it is you can open the extension’s folder with just a few clicks. No more hunting it down or searching through folders for the right one.

Here is what the developer has to say about Extension Manager Extended.

The Extension Manager - Extended. Perfect for extension developers who want to see another extension works. Instead of looking up the id of the extension and then navigating all the way to the folder, just open the extension manager. Next to all of the version numbers, the id is listed. Right click the extension, and you can even open the extension’s folder right from Firefox.

So how do you use it? After installing it, just open the extension manager. You will now see next to each extension the id of that extension. It couldn’t get any easier than that.

Now I don’t know if this extension will be for everybody, but Firefox power users should get a kick out of it.

This Firefox extension is for versions 1.5 and up of the browser. If you want to download it and try it out for yourself, you can do so at the Mozilla Update Web site.
