Let’s be honest. The numbers of Web 2.0 companies in China are certainly impressive. Unfortunately, I am not convinced that they are any more profitable than the ones sprouting up here in the West.

Internet Society of China (ISC) announced its Web2.0 100 list yesterday, as part of its research on development of Chinese web2.0. The full list is here, but it has not categorized them, maybe I will try to do so in coming days. I think the most special name in the list is Hopesome, which is just a blog focused on podcasting, while all others are web2.0 services.
