The Podcast Guild, a new organization created promote podcasting, has announced a design contest for the organization’s logo.

The winner will receive a “record and promote” prize package: 100,000 banner views at Podcast Pickle, a Blue Snowball microphone as well as a featured spot on the Guild’s Web site.

Logos, which should be sent as high-resolution TIFF files, should feature solid backgrounds and clear delineation. They should look good in a large or small format for use on Web sites, bags, letterhead, business cards, pens, and so on.

The Guild’s mission is to promote podcasting worldwide; provide resources,information, and advocacy for podcasters; and work to build and maintain an effective technical, business, artistic, and legal environment for podcasting.

Entries should be uploaded to a Web site and a link submitted to organizing committee chair Paul Puri at guildcontest at gmail.com by May 7, 2006.

The winner will be chosen by the organizing committee and announced on May 15th. Source: Podcasting News
