Man, I can think of a number of town-based sites that could stand a redesign. At least some don’t have to be poked and prodded to make it happen.

MERRILLVILLE - The town’s Web site will have a new look today.

And Jim Donohue, the Merrill-ville police support services commander who helped design the site, said it will be a whole lot easier to use.

The site will include new services such as an events calendar and a document center, allowing for better communication with town residents.

“There’s greater expandability with this site,” Donohue said. “It flows better and it’s better organized.”
