Phishing scam continues to hit Westpac

Phishing is an ongoing problem that has plagued us all in one fashion or another. One such scam has been pretending to be Westpac. If you receive something from someone you believe to be legit, always verify before divulging anything personal.
Westpac says it has had hundreds of calls from customers worried about an illegal email phishing scam but so far only two customers have fallen prey.
The email, which falsely claims to be from Westpac, asks customers to enter their banking details into an illegal website, giving those behind the scam access to their accounts. [Read the rest]
