Very cool. I was very happy to hear that MS is listening to the folks out there when it came to the problem of phishing. With their MSN toolbar filter, IE users can sleep soundly knowing that their family members are not being suckered in by fraudulent websites.

In my meeting with Julian Bajkowski, one thing we spoke about was the introduction of a Phishing filter for IE7.

I didn’t have all the answers to the Julian’s questions on this, at the time.

I have subsequently found some info, such as a post from the IE7 team, as well these articles “Introducing Phishing Filter in IE” and “Anti-Phishing Whitepaper”.

However, you don’t need to wait for IE7 to experience this. There is an phishing filter add-in for the MSN Toolbar too. The UI is a bit different, but the technology is the same. [Read the rest]
