Well folks, one site that is certain to get a lot of attention is GameTap. Even the oldest of gamers will find something here that will meet with their fancy.

GameTap goes live on Monday. This is the games-on-demand download service that Turner Broadcasting — the folks who brought you Turner Classic Movies — is launching for the nostalgic gamer. Want to play the original “Sonic the Hedgehog” on an emulated Sega Genesis, or the original “Centipede,” “Defender,” “Dig Dug,” “Asteroids,” “Galaga,” and “Pitfall?” Well, for a $14.95 a month subscription, you can download the GameTap player software, which allows you to unlimited play for more than 300 games from 17 different publishers. All the old Atari and Sega classics are there, but not Nintendo’s old games. (Remember that Nintendo is going to make its own libary of games available for download on the Revolution).
