Web-related careers change fast that from the first time I wrote this section to now, a few new jobs have appeared. The job may not sound new, but they have become important enough to get separated out from another function. Added titles include user interface engineer, graphic designer (previous mixed in with Web designer), and user experience engineer.
Also new to the career section are training, ceritification, and professional organizations information.
Can you believe that a mere 10 years ago, many of today’s job titles related to Web design didn’t exist? No doubt we’ll see more new job titles crop up 10 years from now that we can’t imagine today.
Small design shop employees play a general role because they do a little bit of everything and don’t have the resources to implement fancy technology and systems. Large shops, in contrast, hire people to do a specific role to the finest detail. [ [ Read more... or say howdy to Meryl ]
