First impressions of Reuters TV? Well, I think it looks like what MSN already offers. Still, I do like the programing that they are providing and also appreciate that it is showing all of us that broadband is quickly becoming a necessity for the full Internet experience. And with GE on board, well, this ought to help ease the costs quite a bit.
GE has signed on as the premiere sponsor of Reuters interactive TV channel. Reuters has also launched some new features. Press release follows…
PRESS RELEASE – Reuters has announced a comprehensive ad deal with GE for its ‘ecomagination’ campaign. The cross media buy includes GE becoming the premiere sponsor of Reuters Interactive TV channel, in the U.S., available on Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. The campaign touts GE’s products and services that provide significant and measurable environmental performance advantages to its customers: an aircraft engine, a locomotive and technology that converts coal into a cleaner-burning fuel.
As the premier sponsor of Reuters Interactive TV channel, GE will run 30 second post -roll video ads. While the video ad plays, a banner ad is also displayed on the left-side navigation which clicks through to a GE branded sponsor page. [Read the rest]
