At one time, only large corporations produced quality media or software. These products were created with large budgets, expensive machinery and highly paid professionals, all of which made them very expensive for the consumer.
Now, a growing number of individuals, myself included, are finding out that they can create software and media (newspapers, radio, TV) without expensive tools. And though their work may not have the slick production values of large companies, amateur professionals often outpace the larger companies in their level of innovation.
The mainstream media is starting to take notice of the Amateur Professional, and “here is my take” on why this is a silent revolution you better give some attention to.
