It is Monday morning! That means you’ve probably already had your shower and your first few cups of coffee. Your either on your way to work, or maybe you are at work right now. What is the only thing missing from your Monday morning experience? The Web Hosting Show!
I am here again this week to give you another tasty sampler of what we covered this week on the Web’s only podcast dedicated to the world of Web hosting. Everybody from your average Web host to your confused new user is invited to listen, so give it a shot and be sure to let me know what you think.
We touched on a lot of topics in this seventeenth edition of the Web Hosting Show.
Starting things off we talking about some of the latest hosting headlines. It seems like AOL is getting into the free E-mail game. Now I am a little more willing to trust a free E-mail service than a free Web host. There just are not as many ways you can screw up a free E-mail service in comparison to free Web hosting.
This week’s tip of the week was all based around forum creation. This topic was mainly focused on the Web hosts out there, but honestly having a good set of forums will help just about every business out there today. It is all about giving your clients and your staff new ways to communicate, share ideas and solve problems.
Staying on the theme of forums, we also discussed forum themes. One of the Web sites I was asked to review this week had a problem with looking too generic. I went in depth about how and why I think that forums should be more individualized. I would like to see folks not just throw up random generic theme number five and leave it at that. Make the Web site design something that reflects back on the ideas and opinions shared there.
