Boy, it looks as if Amazon has been busy lately. While their sales in the US may be down, their ‘Services’ dept just signed a new deal with Sears Canada.

Amazon Services Inc., a subsidiary of online retail giant Amazon.com Inc., said Wednesday that it has signed a deal to build a branded website for Sears Canada Inc.

Under the deal, Seattle-based Amazon will use its own e-commerce technology and provide Sears Canada with software tools to control its online business. Amazon shopping features planned for the site include search, navigation, personalization and automatic recommendations of products based on shoppers’ previous purchases.
