Attack Brings Chaos to Hushmail

With the way things are going with our privacy these days, I am not all that surprised that services like Hushmail are being hacked into. The scary thing is wondering where the victims of this redirection are actually being sent to and for what reason!

Visitors to the Web site of secure email service Hushmail  hushmail.com) were redirected to a defaced site this past Sunday as a result of a hack attack against its domain registrar Network Solutions  networksolutions.com), according to reports.

“On April 23rd, an unauthorized party gained access to our customer account at our domain registrar,” the company said on its Web site. “The unauthorized party altered the domain settings so that users entering www.hushmail.com in their Web browser were no longer directed to our real Web site. Instead, users were redirected to a different Web site at a different location.” [Read the rest]
