Creating a Link Dump with FeedDemon

Are link dumps accepted by readers of popular blogs? For the most part, yes. Just as long as they are worthwhile links, most people have little issue with this.
Regular readers of my blog may have noticed that I post infrequent “Link Dumps” (such as this one) which are nothing more than a list of articles I’ve collected over time. When you see a link dump in my blog, it usually means I’m nose-down in development and don’t have time to resurface for a “real” blog post. I actually generate these link dumps through FeedDemon, so I thought I’d share how it’s done in case it’s of use to others.
Like most FeedDemon users, I frequently drag-and-drop items into news bins for future reference. One of my news bins is named “Links,” and this is where I drag items that will go into the next link dump. When I’m ready for the actual post, I click on the news bin, change the newspaper filter to “All Items,” then switch to a simple “LinkDump” newspaper style I created which generates the HTML for my post. If you’re viewing this in FeedDemon, you can try out this style by clicking the link below: [Get the links]
