Web Hosting Plus Podcasting Equals?

A few months back I wrote an article about how it would be nice if there were more Online radio shows or podcasts out there that would tackle more Web hosting and Web development related content. There are several out there, many of them are good but none of them had exactly what I was looking for. What is a guy to do? I went and created my own. That is how the Web Hosting Show was born.

What is the Web Hosting Show? Think of it as all forms of Web hosting communication and information combined into one. There are Web hosting forums, Web hosting help Web sites, and Web Hosts in general, but not till now have all these aspects been rolled up into one easy to download audio format. Well, that was till the Web Hosting Show came around.

Each week we tackle the latest Web hosting news, problems and issues many people have to deal with on a day to day basis. In a world where you almost have to have a Web site to survive, isn’t it about time the folks had a show to tell them more about the backend services they are scared to touch? This is not just one more excuse to spew jargon at you either. At the Web Hosting Show we will break down the jargon into things even a ten year old could understand.

Your toughest Web hosting questions have found a place to be answered as well. Each week we will be answering E-mails from the public on the show and trying to clear up some of the confusion around the world of Web hosting. In the future, we will be talking to industry leaders and getting their perspectives on the Web hosting world as well.

The people at the Web Host Industry Review wrote up an nice article explaining some about what went into the backend of making the show possible, and a few more things you have to look forward to as the weeks go by.

The sometimes eccentric, always exuberant Keeler has spent the past few months developing an online radio show devoted to Web hosting issues on his popular Mitchelaneous  mitchelaneous.com) blog. Serving mainly as an audio component to the blog, Keeler’s show provides the latest Web hosting news and editorials, as well as the events of his own professional life.

But Keeler wasn’t always an insider commenting on the Web hosting industry. For several years he worked doing customer support for a variety of Web hosting companies. Last May, after being let go from his customer support manager position at TotalChoice Hosting, Keeler decided to find another outlet to help people with the intricacies of Web hosting.

“I don’t think that anybody can disagree with me when I say that Web hosting can be very confusing for a new person,” he says.

The desire to help others led Keeler into writing for online technology resources. As a regular contributor to online technology news resource Lockergnome, as well as its related channels Web Developers and Tech News Watch, Keeler’s articles have focused on some of today’s most important technological issues. Keeler would eventually start a blog to use as an archive for his numerous articles on Web hosting, development, and other technology-related topics.

So, check out last Monday’s show, learn how you can help, and become a part of Web hosting history!
