I finally got around to upgrading my favourite Weblog software - WordPress. Before, I was using WordPress 1.2 “Mingus”, but now I switched to WordPress 1.5 “Nightly” - it’s a miracle worker!

The new WordPress 1.5 gives you a strong admin interface, allowing you to take complete control of your Weblog. This includes adding in custom pages, static posts, a theme organizer, along with a plugin organizer as well. I must say that the WP team has put forth a great effort into this release.

WordPress took its blogging tool and made it into a CMS (Content Managment System) for your Web site. The new WP 1.5 allows the admin to switch from WP themes.

My favourite feature is posting by e-mail. I can now post with my Palm Pilot. Also, now it has a fully integrated link list. It’s Blogroll without Blogroll.

I must say, I am far past impressed with this new WP, and I recommend it to any blogger who is looking for new blogging software.
