Bug Found In MT 3.15

I’ve discovered a bug in MT 3.15.

See this article for some of the details.

The thread on the help ticket I filed with MovableType is as follows:

Chris Short:
Can’t use string (”ARRAY(0×898e4cc)”) as an ARRAY ref while “strict refs” in use at lib/MT/Mail.pm line 66.

I got this error message after sending a notification. The e-mail was sent sucessfully but this is troubling.

Six Apart:
What version of Movable Type are you running? Did you upgrade to 3.15, or have you just uploaded the patch-20050124-mail-spam.pl file to your /plugins/ directory?

Chris Short:
3.14

Six Apart:
Can you confirm for me that this error arises when you send a notification from the Edit Entry screen, though all notification mails are successfully sent? And that this function was working without the error prior to the installation of the patch?

If you remove the patch-20050124-mail-spam.pl temporarily, does the error disappear? Can you try uploading the path file again, in ASCII mode, and see if that resolves the problem. If I could also have you upload the 3.14 /lib/MT/Mail.pm file in ASCII mode also, please let me know if the error persists.

What version of perl is your server running?
