While I have yet to have an opportunity to try ViewSheild, the idea behind the program does sound interesting. Apparently it is a ‘privacy suite’ designed to make your Web surfing experience a little bit safer. The idea is sound enough, but I must confess that I using another browser might just be a little easier.

ViewShield is an Internet privacy suite, that includes ad and pop up blockers, as well as privacy and security managers to filter content, set security levels (ActiveX, scripts, Java etc.) and use proxy connections for anonymous surfing. If you have ad blocking turned on, you can quickly enable selected ad images by simply placing the cursor over the placeholder. The program offers 4 color-coded security levels that are ready-to use without further configuration. You can easily customize the levels to your preference, and switch between levels from the system tray. After the end of the trial, you may keep any single module (ad or pop-up blocker, privacy or security guard) as a freeware.
