By using an application like PC Security Test 2005, you will be more likely to keep your computer protected and safe from those little nasties out there that can so easily ruin a person’s day.

PC Security Test 2005 enables you to check your basic protection against viruses, spyware and hackers. It runs a series of tests on your computer and monitors the response of your security software. Based on the results it will assign a score that indicates how good your computer is protected against these security issues. The test include scanning for open ports, installing a startup entry to the registry, changing your browser homepage, running an EICAR virus test file and more. The resulting report is easy to read and provides additional information for each topic. We did experience some inconsistency when re-scanning the test machine. (Please note: During the tests, the program runs an EICAR test file and your Anti-Virus program should alert you - please note that EICAR is not a real virus, but an industry standard measure to test basic anti-virus protection.)
