Finding Expired Domain Names

When you started your Web site, was there a domain name that you really wanted that just wasn’t available at the time? It happens to even the best of us, then we have to go with our second choice. Well what if there was a way you could keep track of the domain name so that when it’s registration went out you might be able to snatch it up? You can, thanks to this neat tool provided by Network Solutions.

Find a domain name that you really want. View .COM and .NET domain name registrations that have expired and are pending renewal or deletion using our alphabetical directory or keyword search. Place a backorder through our partner, SnapNames, for any domain name you want to try to register - there are no upfront fees.

You pay only the SnapNames minimum bid price if the domain name is not renewed by the current registrant during any applicable grace period and your backorder is the only one submitted for the domain. If more than one person places a backorder for a name, you will be automatically entered into a simple auction where you can set the maximum price you want to pay.

Now there will still be some waiting involved. You will not get the domain name you desire just yet, but have patience my Gnomie friend. Good things come to those who wait. Who knows, you might even be able to find a real bargain that has been overlooked by others.

You might have to wait for it, but this is one great tool to use when looking for the perfect domain name.

What Do You Think?
