Mobile greeting cards for mobile users. Sounds like Hallmark managed to corner this market, but I am not convinced that the idea itself is now a lost cause for others to try for themselves, check it out.
Many Websites, especially sites that are working to promote Web based comic strips, use online greeting cards/postcards to help announce their work. Now what if they took this same application idea to the mobile level. Sure, there is a variety of content available for mobile devices these days, but using MMS to promote Web site content is not a bad idea and should be implemented, in my opinion.
Enpocket has signed an agreement with Hallmark Cards to create, distribute and market mobile greeting cards. The mobile applications, available in Java and Symbian applications, make it easy to interact and share images using underlying technologies that users are not yet fully familiar with, such as MMS. For important seasonal occasions or personalised messages mobile subscribers can click and select branded images and text, before sending them to the mobile phones of friends, colleagues and family.
