Yes! A new version of the best email program (my thoughts anyway) on the Web has been released! Spam filtering that works, cool sort features and an import feature that makes switching super easy, there is not much that this software cannot do for you.

At some point I would like to see some PIM functions built in, but I am cool with just having a stable, easy to use app that does not freeze up for every reason under the sun.

Thunderbird is a full featured email program with built-in junk mail controls, message filters, address book, news groups and more. It offers a clean and easy to use (customizable) interface. Thunderbird also offers security features such as S/MIME, digital signing, message encryption, support for certificates and security devices. Other features include IMAP/POP compatibility, support for HTML mail, labels, quick search, return receipts, LDAP address completion, import tools and just about anything else you would expect from a full blown email program.
