REST

Of course, I encourage you to ensure you get enough rest, but this is about REST (REpresentational State Transfer) Flash. Flash is a great program… when done right - and few do it right. Macromedia’s Kevin Lynch demonstrates how to use rich Internet applications to display their current state in the URL when the user interacts with the site. It improves bookmarking as the user can bookmark an action rather than be stuck bookmarking the “start” of the application.
Kevin has posted the source code for downloading. One thing missing in the demo is the “alt” feature. The best way to handle this is through the accessibility support in Flash Player and Flex.
