HTML Character Converter 1.2.2

When doing Web design, converting special characters into something that is going to work can be a real pain. Then today I found the HTML Character Converter. As I read through the description, I realized that this very well could be the answer to inserting accented characters into an HTML page.

Then again, I am sure that there are other ways of doing this as well. Regardless, I believe this to be the simplest method based on my own personal experiences. The only downside I see with this is that HTML Character Converter is for the Mac OS only. That is unfortunate.

HTML Character Converter allows you to encode special characters into HTML. In just one click, it converts accented characters, characters in foreign alphabets, special punctuation marks, and more. It works in any Mac OS X program, so you don’t have to copy and paste text back and forth.

Using Character Converter is simple. Select the text you would lke to translate. From the application menu in the current application, choose Services > Character Converter > Encode into HTML. The text will be encoded in place.
