If you’ve suffered like I have trying to deploy your web applications from VS then you will understand what a great tool this is. Matt Hawley wrote WebDeploy and while it’s been a great tool it had a few features lacking. Well, he’s finally finished up version 2.0 of the product and it’s undergone a rebranding and is officially Unleash It. This tool allows you to quickly take your web project and send it not only to your server through UNC pathing but also allows you to send it to a .ZIP file as well as publishing it through FTP. The ability to maintain multiple profiles for quick deployment is great and the added feature of “multiple deployment” is incredible.
Basically, go get it and take a look. There are plenty of specs and details on the home page of it. Oh, and did I mention the best part? It’s a free tool. Can’t beat that price.
