Working with images can be both fun and irritating at the same time. Finding cool photos to scan and post to a Web site would be the fun part. Getting them to look the way want with Photoshop is not always so fun though. Andrew Harwood shows his readers how to use something called “grunge effect” when editing images. It may not make it any easier, but sure does give the photo that “pro” look that you desire.
One of the absolute necessities in creating successful grunge effects is texture. Take time to make sure the textures you choose will work well with the image and the effect you’re creating.
Also, keep this in mind: the higher the quality of texture, the better the results.
