I have been having teachers calling me complaining that they didn’t receive an email with their FREE voucher to the exhibit as indicated at the end of their form submission. As it turned out, they did receive the email but it was redirected to their JUNK folder!

With SPAM being a real concern these days, many legitimate emails get filtered out of your inbox and into your SPAM/JUNK folder. There are many ways to minimize that effect (working on it), but still if someone has his Hotmail filter set to “exclusive”, your email will never reach him unless the email address you are using is in his address book.

So, using a redundant measure with email is warranted just to make sure you never end up with an upset customer (in my case teachers.) And yes, even teachers can be very technically challenged!
