The debates about Web standards continue as Jeffrey Zeldman looks at both the positive and perhaps even, negative impact these standards have on Web development as a whole. He explains that there a plenty of companies out there that are more than willing to motivate you to follow these Web related rules and ideas, but not many of them are going to help you implement them right into your current projects.

I believe that this is totally true. It has to be frustrating for you folks to maintain a balance while adhering to these standards. I believe that most designers believe in them, but I doubt that all of you care about every little piece when it is 3am and you are needing to be finished by 8am that same morning. Stress has a funny way of killing that inner motivation, you know?
