There is more blogging software out today than you
could possibly shake a stick at. Most of the blogging software
packages do the same thing. Some do it better and some
do it worse. Very rarely, though, do you see a
feature-packed blog application that catches your eye.
I recently ran across one that did all of that, and
much more.

Blosxom is a
blogging application that is focused on keeping itself
lightweight but fully featured. The installation
would be a little confusing for a novice, but I would
recommend that you at least try it out. The size of
the entire script is only 150 lines of actual code.
Any other features can be added or manipulated by
using plugins. Also, instead of posting via a Web
interface you can create, edit, rename, and delete
entries on the command-line, FTP, or a plethora of
