Hi, I have no clue how many people really read my blog. I’m giving a brief update, saying why I haven’t been writing. This is my last summer before college, so I’m making the best of it, I’m constantly out and about and having fun. As for when I am going to begin writing again, I honestly don’t know. If I am able to I would love to be able to keep this blog up and running. We will just have to wait and see when the time comes.

Thanks to everyone who has ever read my blog and supported it.

How to add recent application stack to dock!

Hey guys here is a really cool thing you can do in OSX. It allows you to add a recent application stack to your dock. Copy and paste this code into the terminal,

defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-others -array-add ‘{ “tile-data” = { “list-type” = 1; }; “tile-type” = “recents-tile”; }’

EDIT: for some unknown reason the code is not working if you copy and paste it, so either type it in manually or take it from the youtube video description. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hit enter, then type, killall Dock, This will restart the dock. Viola you now have a recent application stack!

Shiny White Box Review Part I

I’m going to do a serious of reviews for the Shiny White Box. Shiny White Box is a pack of apps of Mac OS X. The pack consists of Ishowu really nice screen casting program, will do a video about this later this week. Stomp, a video converter, very nice video converter, works smoothly and has a ton of options. I’m going to keep this blog short, because I am going to do a few videos about these programs later this week. Only problem is I do not have the full version of Stomp, so yes there will be an annoying water mark. Sorry! To be continued. Shiny White Box

iMovie 08 is depressing!

Today I’ve been working on my first video blog. I’m using this as an opportunity to try video editing on the my MacBook. Well so far I am not impressed with iMovie 08. I prefer editing movies in a time line format, not the movie block format. I like to be able to cut the audio when needed. It is almost impossible to do these things in iMovie 08. Luckily Apple lets people who have iLife 08 download iMovie HD for no charge, which is very nice!I edited my movie, and it’s really nice; only problem I’m having now is getting the quality right for YouTube. Atom processors mean a laptop for everyone?

Atom based processors are already revolutionary, by there size and power. They have also brought down prices for laptops, such as the Asus Eee. People will no be able to spend under a thousand dollars and be able to have a good laptop. These new processors will allow each person in a household to have their own laptop, no more family rivalry over the home desktop. I would rather have a nice affordable laptop then a over priced desktop that I have to fight for!

We see a lot of demand for more affordable products,” said Chris Tulley, a spokesman for Intel. Noting that the majority of households in emerging markets have no PCs, and that the majority of households in mature markets have one PC, he added, “We see an opportunity to have more devices per household and potentially one device per person.”
