I’ve done it again, I’ve scowered the web looking for apps that suited me and my needs. I’ve found apps that are almost necessary for new mac owners, and some of these even work on pc. Did I mention these are all free!
1. Adium: This is an msn alternative. The reason I chose adium is because you can customize this thing like mad, there are so many options. It also allows you to use every single IM client at once.
2. Handbrake: DVD ripping program. Allows you to easily rip DVDs and it formats them to alot of different formats. Also has pre programmed settings for psp, ps3, and xbox 360.
3. VLC: Hardcore video player. Plays more codecs then quicktime, this is a necessity on almost any computer.
4. Mozilla Firefox: Open source internet browser. This is a very stable internet browser, I like it alot more than safari.
5. School House: This is an organization tool that allows users to schedule out their school work. Really helpful for forgetful people, or people who enjoy being organized. I love it
6. Main menu: OSX maintenance tool. Allows user to clear cache, cookies, secure empty trash, and much more. Helps keep your mac running in pristine condition.
There you have it guys. My favorite apps that are free and very useful.
