Changes coming to usrbingeek’s deal finder

You’ve might have noticed my infrequent postings to usrbingeek’s deal finder the last week and that’s because I’ve been busy setting up a brand new site just for it!

Very soon I’ll unveil the new site and let you know its new URL and RSS feeds. Speaking of RSS feeds, if you already subscribe to our RSS feed you won’t have to do anything…we’ll transfer it to our new RSS feed once the new site “officially” launches.

Here’s some answers to a some of the questions that are likely to have just popped in your head:

Why the move to a new site?
First and foremost, I feel this is an idea that needs a lot more room to grow. To fully realize my visions for it I’ll need full control and the ability to customize the site much more than is afforded to Lockergnome bloggers.

What will be different?
Many more deals everyday from many more reputable retailers. The new site will also have a lot of improvements and new features, even better organization, improved layouts and it’s hosted on a fast dedicated server.

What kinds of deals will be posted?
Only the best deals from reputable retailers but we’re going to have an unique twist that you’ll need to wait for the new site to launch to find out what it is!

What will happen to this Lockergnome blog?
I’m going to rebrand it and change its focus to a general interest link blog. I’ll still highlight the occasional deal here on Lockergnome but you’ll want to move on to the new site if all you’re interested in is deals. A new RSS feed will be created for the Lockergnome blog so those of you interested in it will have to subscribe to the new feed once the changes happen.
