I have owned this Blu-ray player for about 3 months and would recommend to anyone with a “modern” setup. What do I mean by “modern? I’ll let you know what my setup is. The setup I have definitely is not the most expensive setup but it “gets the job done.”
- Onkyo HT-SP908 which has the following
—– Onkyo TX-SR605 receiver
—– Onkyo SKS-HT750 speakers
- Samsung BD-P1500
- DishNetwork HD ViP 722 DVR
- Samsung LNT-4661F
As I said, this setup is by far from the most expensive home theatre setup but it works for what I what/need. I bought the HDTV from Amazon.com (would recommend the experience in a heartbeat; I live in the Philadelphia, PA market), the Onkyo equipment from Crutchfield, and the Samsung Blu-ray player from Circuit City when it was originally released.
If you want discrete analog output, then the BD-P1500 is not for you. The Samsung BD-P2550 should be released in October and has discrete analog output.
