US-CERT is warning that a recent surge of phishing email messages are claiming to be from the United States National Medical Association.
The emails contain a link to a malicious web site and if visited can install malicious software and/or collect personal information to be used to perform identity theft. These email messages were not sent by any United States government agency.
US-Cert warns:
* Do not follow unsolicited web links received in email messages.
* Verify the legitimacy of the email by contacting the company or agency directly through a trusted contact number.
