How To Clean A Notebook or Laptop

Is your laptop or notebook computer looking grungy? It doesn’t take a lot of effort to clean it up and make it look new again.
Turn off, unplug the notebook, and remove the battery before starting. Then use a very lightly damp clean rag to remove the worst of the dirt. Start on the screen, then the case, and do the keys last. Depending on how dirty your notebook is you might need a fresh rag just for the keys.
Avoid any household cleaners as they might contain ammonia or other chemicals which can damage your laptop’s finish or LCD screen. For example, never use Windex or any type of window cleaner!

The new micro-fiber rags that you can get at just about any dollar-for-everything store these days work great. Just dampen them a bit and go for it. For stubborn cleaning, I use a couple of drops of non-ultra Dawn(tm) dishwashing liquid in a cup of water and dampen a corner of the rag with it. It won’t harm the LCD screen. For the keyboard, I use canned air and then an automotive detail brush to get between the keys, following up with the damp micro-fiber rag.

Dude, First off, compressed air cans are not suppose to be shaken before use, and second, the whiteness coming out isnt just air, thats compressed Co2 hold the can upright, that VERY dangerous to you computer blowing Co2 right onto the disc drive and in ports like that.
