BEST DAY EVER: Today, May 5, 2007 is Free Comic Book Day!

Comic book shops across North America are giving away comic books absolutely free to anyone who enters their stores Saturday. The number of free comics you can get depends on what time you show up and how many people have been there before you. To have the best chance of getting more than one show up early, and hang around. Many shops will be holding contests and raffles too.

Now, don’t expect the local “Kwik-E-Mart” to be participating but most independent comic book stores are. You can find participating stores near you by using the Comic Book Day Store Locator (link below.)

Oh and you can’t just grab any comic book off their shelves and expect it to be free but most of the free comic books available tomorrow are very good issues. They’re definitely not from the bargain bin:
