The next time you need directory assistance skip the costly 411 service and dial 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411.)
The service even connects you to the business and you don’t have to pay for that call. Though regular air time or usage charges will apply.
Using this service, you can:
search for a local business by name or category.
You can say “Giovanni’s Pizzeria” or just “pizza”.get connected to the business, free of charge. get the details by SMS if you’re using a mobile phone.
Just say “text message”.

Seriously, this SEEMS great, but of what profit is it to Google? Do you hear ads while the lookup is being performed? [Silly me, I guess I’ll find out by trying ]
